Even the "baby lounge" has an LCD for mothers.Depending on local ordinances, this may be a violation. Not that it would matter to those under "Theocratic Law."
Honesty, how would this be a violation? No Apologies

i have been out of jws for about three years, husband still goes and brings out two young girls.
he has been really withdrawn lately, eating less, not interested in sex.
i thought he was moping because i recently had a birthday party for our young daughter and because of halloween activities.
Hey MIL
It must be very depressing for married male JW's whose wives leave the WTS to face up to the fact that they may actually have to work at their marriage. After all, the WTS did all the work to keep the wife in subjection to everyone and everything....him, the elders, the congregation. I guess the only way to deal with it now is to whine and moan and be sarcastic and try to lay a big guilt trip on the wife in the hopes that her good nature and habit of keeping the peace will make her throw all of her personal convictions out the window so she can do whats really important....which is to devote her life to making him happy.
You must be from some parallel JW universe where this kind of behavior exists. Cause it sure ain't that way here. It was more of the opposite: my ex-wife constantly used the elders to pressure me into being the "ideal" JW hubby.
The whole wifely subjection thing was a big joke in every congregation I have ever been in. Unless they are complete rednecks, most JWs become embarrassed just uttering that phrase.

i am an "active" jw.
i serve.
give talks.
Question for you apocalypse:
But we can allow our blood to be separated and only the allowable portions utilized.
What procedure are you referring to? And where is it deemed as acceptable(conscience matter) for JWs?

the following is one theory that comes from the id book the biotic messagehttp://www1.minn.net/~science/contents.htm by walter remine.
"an intelligent designer is necessary for the origin of life from non-life.
" the biotic message page.
That's not even a theory, its an assertion. Here's another one:
An intelligent designer would have to have a designer himself.
Can you logically disprove my statement?

i was wondering what effect the article on the generation change had on most people here?.
for years, the trump card on the ministry when replying to the "it will never come in my day" objection to armageddon, was the doctrine of the generation.
many jw`s probobly held back from making important financial comitments.
Hi Gary,
Shunning tightened up, then in early 2003 there was a 3 month purge. More than a few elders started over Christmas of 2002 and used Christmas decorations as a easy way to shun a former member.
Can you explain these two sentences a little more? a few elders started what?
thanks,

here is a quick summary, in august i turned in an elder resignation letter stating that i could not teach doctrine from the governing body because i did not "know" them at all, and i had doubts.
when asked by the elders, i said the doubts spring from this generation and 1975. the elders took no action, waiting for mother to tell them what to do.
would want to talk to me on his visit.. this week, our c.o.
I pointed out that article from 2001 that V quoted a while back, to me it still implies a 7000 year creative day, and is the most recent reference to this concept. As others have stated, they usually refer to creative days as lasting for thousands of years, its reassuring to the old-timers, while still acceptable to younger and better-educated dubs. Also, the fact that they acknowledge that the Universe is billions of years old makes them sound a little more rational than the Young-Earth people.

okay, this is a series i loved in the 1970's ... except for that who bsg 1984 thing that should have never happened.
when the new series came out, i was all excited.
it was good, and then quickly it took the path of several series these days, in which it "covers very little each episode.
very little was covered in this two hour premiere
You must have been watching a different two hour Battlestar Galactica premiere than I was. Lets see, we had:
spoilers in invisotest...
Tigh has lost an eye.
Tigh's wife going to some length to get him released from detention.
Kara discovers she has a child, who then almost dies.
The cylons create a police force made up of humans. This force is attacked at their graduation ceremony.
Baltar had a gun put to his head, forcing him to sign death warrants for 200 people, including Tyrol's wife, Rosalyn, and Tom Zarek.
Boomer is once again a soldier in the Colonial fleet.
Much, much dissension among the cyclon 'skin jobs' over just what their goals are.
Confrontation between Apolla and Adama.
Contact between the fleet and the humans on New Caprica is restored.
I do agree though, about way too much reference to "current events". I like my sci-fi to address real world issues, but this was laying it on rather thick. Suicide bombers, torture of detainees, ok, yeah we get it, you don't have to pound it into our heads.
But I can't wait to see where it goes.
Now, the Lost season premiere... talk about a whole lot of nothing going on...

dirty little tricks...that i might add help keep me sane.
one of the things i like to do when my "true-believing" wife leaves her new "study aids" and stuff on the kitchen table, is to take a few of them and burn them in the stove.
funny, she never seems to miss them.
Well those sound kinda fun, but not really productive.
Why not go through the study publication and make some little comments in the margins refuting the more obvious examples of flawed logic? There's at least a couple in every paragraph...

i had a "free" bible study with 2 dubs a few months ago, they tried their usual sales pitch, and badmouth my pastor and my church and beliefs, in general.
after the older guy did that, i stood up and left.
8 months passed, and i ran him to him again at a superstore last week, spewing his same crap.
Going to church and associating with fellow believers helps a person personally carry out the Great Commision. All believers have a mission to help unbelievers begin a personal relationship with the savior of the world.
Okay which is it? Faith or works? What if I don't want to waste time on this mission? Is my "being saved" revoked? And remind me again, what exactly am I being 'saved' from?
Going to church also helps Christians minister to other Christians.
What exactly does that mean "minister to"? And why do you need to go to church to do it?

Ok Zone, maybe you can answer me this:
If you're "saved", what do you need a pastor for? Why do you even need to go to church? You're saved!
